I love exploring new tastes in BBQ Sauce. Beets have an individual taste that goes well when combined with a little tang and sweetness. I tried, I liked.
Beet BBQ Sauce
3/4 cup beet puree (about 1 medium/large beet, boiled, peeled and pureed)
1/4 cup raw sugar
1/3 cup ketchup
2 TBS white vinegar + 1 TBS cider vinegar
1 TBS worcestershire sauce
1 TBS ground mustard + 1/2 TBS paprika
1 TBS sriracha or tour favorite hot sauce
salt and pepper to taste, water to thin out as needed
